I was born in the jungles of Peru to missionary parents. Spanish was my first language. I was seven the first time I saw a flushing toilet or ice cubes. I learned English when we moved to south Georgia.
My life did not go according to my plans, but God has always been faithful. I am now a single mom homeschooling three amazing sons. They are my world! The "Dear Reader" letter in the book tells more of my testimony.
Over the years, I have experienced a lot of personal pain and abuse. These experiences have made my relationship with Christ very deep. I have not only survived the damage, but God has healed me in so many ways: body, soul, and spirit.
Bloom In the Dark has been written to reach women in dark places like I've experienced. I want to let you know that you are not alone. There are a lot of us! There is hope and healing for you, too.
Believing with you,
